What is Fortune X Poker:

Fortune X Video Poker randomly offers an increase in the starting multiplier of 1 times the win with a fixed probability associated with the game’s pay table. The first is a bonus multiplier of 2 times a hand’s win. After seeing a dealt hand, if you choose to use it, it is applied to your outcome and then reset to the default multiplier of one. If not, the multiplier increases to the next level (2 to 3, 3 to 5, 5 to 8 and 8 to 12). At 12, the multiplier will automatically be applied.

Once a game type (like Jacks or Better or Deuces Wild, etc.) and pay table are selected, there are three different modes of usage:

Perfect Hold Advice - In the ADVICE mode, one inputs the five cards constituting a hand of interest, you are then told the optimal cards to hold and the lowest multiplier you should accept.  

Scored Practice - In the PRACTICE mode, a random hand and current multiplier are generated and the user selects hold cards and decides whether to use the multiplier or not.  This hold and multiplier usage is then scored (correct hold or not) and a tally accumulated until you reset the tallies to zero.  

Play and Learn - The GAME mode presents a setting reminiscent of a video poker machine.  However, we show two outcome hands, one for your decisions and one for a perfect player so you can see how you compare. When you press Deal you are dealt random hands and the current bonus multiplier is displayed. The game multiplier is 1 by default but will advance to 2 with a probability shown in its pay table. Otherwise, it stays at 1. If the current multiplier is not 1, it advances along the progression 2 to 3, 3 to 5, 5 to 8 and 8 to 12. A 12 is automatically used and will advance to 1. After selecting hold cards and deciding whether to use a multiplier that is not 1 or 12, pressing the Draw button, your hold hand is filled-in with random cards from the remaining deck.  The perfect hold hand receives the same draw card stream.  The amount won by your holds and the perfect play holds are shown and accumulated into win/loss (W/L) totals.  The appropriate multiplier is applied to any wins.  If the user’s decision to use a multiplier is wrong, the paths of the user and perfect play may diverge. They can be reset using the RESET button.

Extensive help screens are provided as are information buttons throughout the screens.

Three different methods are built-in for selecting cards for analysis.  One is a table of all the cards, a second shows bigger cards for just a selected suit and the third is by typing an abbreviation like 3D for a 3 of Diamonds. Sometimes the display is too small for a full deck to fit on a smart phone screen so having three ways to select cards is valuable.

A Tour Feature on most screens gives step-by-step descriptions of items on the screen.

Small information icons are located though-out the app screens for quick popup help.

For each game there is a default pay table set that you can override with a new default.

When there is more than one way to play a hand optimally, you are notified and can click to see the alternative play.
